How far will the battery take me?

Range – without pedaling 30 km; with pedaling 50 to 100 km. 

The standard Pedal Easy battery has a nominal energy capacity of 320 Watt-hours (at 300W discharge rate). For the average-weight rider, when battery power is used only to supplement pedaling and help on steep up hills, this translates to about 50 km of cycling over varied terrain (many users report a range more like 80 km). If the bike is not pedaled at all, the battery can power it for over 30 km at 15 kph. If more range is needed, a larger battery with 30% more range is available as an option…but most cyclists never need it. For extended trips and even greater range, a spare battery or batteries can be carried…our standard trunk bag has space for a spare. Of course, the more battery you carry, the heavier the e-bike becomes. We have made custom ultra-light-weight models that use an even lighter battery (energy capacity 170 Watt-hours).
