Hub motor endurance test

These are photos showing the exterior and interior of a well-used Pedal Easy hub motor. Detailed internal inspection showed no sign of significant wear, dirt, or corrosion, and it was still well-lubricated with the original grease – a testimonial to the sealing and durability of these motors! This was after 4 1/2 years of hard use (weekly cycle touring in all sorts of conditions, several Gran Fondos, several road trips in Europe, back-country bicycle camping, and numerous rides in the Southwestern US mountains, deserts, and Gulf Coast beaches).
